The last month free preview of Aisling and her sister Flames of Grace went amazingly! Thank you dear readers. Hope you've enjoyed your new copies of Flames of Grace and the continuation (conclusion?) of Aven, Mor, and Tate's love story.
Back to blogging....Have had a lot going on lately, death in the family that is almost too much to bear, as well no time to myself...so writing has had to take a bit of a back seat. Yet, inspiration hits at the most inconvenient times, so when I have had a minute to breathe, I've spent it working on a project much different than my others. More in line with A Flare in the Dark as there is no paranormal element (but, JA, that's what all the cool kids want!) This piece is more personal, more from the heart with elements of real life thrown in for good measure. Though, which parts, I'll never tell.....Would you like a taste? Here you go, dear readers:

Her pantsuit was hot pink today, lined in ivory white, nails that matched as one hand gripped the wheel of her cherry red Mazda convertible, the other dangling a cigarette out in view of the driver's side mirror. Lucy Barnes always looked like an artist's palette with a bad case of food poisoning.
Leaving the town behind them, she kicked up the dust of the gravel roads on the way to the county farm, leaving a cloud of dirt in her tracks. JD wondered how much of it would land in his hair as it whipped around his face in the breeze, the blue skies overhead in stark contrast to his sour mood. God damn community service....
“You ready for this kid?” Lucy asked as she made a sharp turn onto a dirt road nearly hidden from view, line with sturdy pine trees on both sides for what seemed nearly a mile, the shadows of which covered the blue sky, blocking out the formidable sun shine.
“Dont' got much of a choice, do I?” JD shrugged as the shadows made a hazy strobe light effect on the car as they continued down the path.
I'll share more as the journey continues.....As always, Love much and Read Often. xoxo-JA
